My process of figuring out what horses to keep, which to not keep, which to breed together, and which to send to training.

  1. Rehome any horses with green speed comment, no green/gold highlighted stamina comment, bad strength comment, 51 or lower speed conformation, bombproof temperaments, 20 or lower strength conformation, not light horse type build, and/or 39 or lower stamina conformation.

  2. Bad producers are any WHO DON'T PRODUCE any foals with times under 2:00.00 minutes, foals that fit the attributes in #1, and/or foals that have a win % of 80% or higher.

  3. All colts and fillies stay in pasture until they are around 6.5 months old then are put in a barn with 100% yellow corn.

  4. Mares that turn 4 years old are put into a separate barn with 50% Alfalfa cubes and 50% Weight gaining mix and stay there until they change from high strung to spirited. Ideal weight is Moderately thin. Once they have turned back to spirited, test in 4 or 5 Level 10 local races (Local Shows). Any that have the ideal untrained adult mare racing times and don't have three or more 4th places are kept. Ideal untrained adult mare racing time is anywhere faster than 2:14.00 minutes. Any mares that aren't high strung when they turn 4 years old are kept at 100% Yellow corn until they turn high strung, once they've turned high strung, put at 50% Alfalfa Cubes and 50% Weight gaining mix and proceed from there just as the other mares.

  5. Stallions that turn 3 years old are put into a separate barn with 50% Alfalfa cubes and 50% Weight gaining mix and stay there until they change from high strung to spirited. Ideal weight is Moderately thin. Once they have turned back to spirited, test in 4 or 5 Level 10 local races (Local Shows). Any that have the ideal untrained adult stallion racing times and don't have three or more 4th places are kept. Ideal untrained adult stallion racing time is anywhere 2:13.60 minutes and faster. Any stallions that aren't high strung when they turn 3 years old are kept at 100% Yellow corn until they turn high strung, once they've turned high strung, put at 50% Alfalfa Cubes and 50% Weight gaining mix and proceed from there just as the other stallions.

  6. Slowly make requirements more strict as lines get better and better.

  7. Any newborn colts with 61 or higher speed conformation, 21 or higher strength conformation, 42 or higher stamina conformation, gold speed comment, good strength comment, gold stamina comment, not born bombproof, and has light horse type build are sent to training.

  8. Breeding the fastest mares (make sure mares are good producers as well) and stallions (make sure stallions are good producers as well) together.

  9. Any bad producers and/or any horses that don't meet any of the above attributes are rehomed.

  10. I like to put what age and temperament the horse was tested at and I always add what place the horse got.
