Biography
Prof. Dong Seog Han received his B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering from Kyungpook National University (KNU), Daegu, South Korea, in 1987. He then earned his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 1989 and 1993, respectively. From 1989 to 1996, he worked as a Senior Engineer at Samsung Electronics. In 1996, he joined the School of Electronics Engineering at KNU, where he has been a Professor to date. He served as the Director of the Center for DTV and Broadcasting at the Institute of Information Technology Advancement (IITA), Korea, from 2006 to 2008. Prof. Han was the Vice Dean of Research & University-Industry Cooperation at KNU from 2010 to 2012. Since 2011, he has been the Director of the Center for ICT & Automotive Convergence at KNU. He served as the Dean of Admissions at KNU from 2019 to 2021 and as the Dean of the College of IT at KNU from 2022 to 2024. Additionally, he has been the Vice President of the Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS) since 2022. He is currently the head of the Samsung Mobile Engineering Department in the College of IT at KNU.
