Wilber Ryby Recreational Swim Team

Wilber Ryby (REE-BEE; fish in Czech)

Wilber Ryby: A great way to meet new friends, have fun, and strengthen your swimming skills! The Wilber Ryby Swim Team welcomes club members age 5 to recent high school graduates. Swimming requirements for team members are that each member has passed the club swimming test, which demonstrates the ability to swim 1 length of the pool without stopping.

The mission of the Wilber Ryby Swim Team is to provide an opportunity for team members to participate in a safe, healthy, fun, and competitive summer swimming experience. Our goal is to improve skills and understanding in the sport of competitive swimming, develop camaraderie and friendship with team members, learn sportsmanship, and most importantly, to have fun!

The Wilber Ryby Swim Team competes in the Kansas-Nebraska Swim League. There are 8 teams in the league, including Beatrice Barracudas, Clay Center Tigersharks, Concordia Hurricanes, Crete RipTide, Fairbury Wavebreakers, Seward Sharks, and York Dolphins. The current season meet schedule is posted on the swim season page.

For any parent who may be interested in being part of the Ryby Swim Team Committee: Do you have new ideas and lots of energy to help plan and prepare the swim team events?  We welcome any interested team parent to take part in any way you can (no matter how small!).

If you have any questions regarding the swim team, or are interested in being part of the Swim Team Committee, you may email Coach Scott at WilberRyby@gmail.com.
