I was eagerly looking forward to Apple Music but discovered that it will not work unless I'm connected to WiFi. Is this intentional? Is there any way to allow it to search and stream using cellular data?

I toggled the use cellular data under iTunes and App Store and it seens to make it work for me. I'm on a slow cell network right now, but Beats 1, Radio, and Apple Music features all work for me after a toggle.

Youtube Music Download Over Data

That's all you have to do, people!!! Enabling Music from the Cellular menu is not necessary. That is only for downloading music purchases made on other devices. All you need to do is enable Use Cellular Data.

Yeah but by doing this i have to turn off Automatic Downloads for Apps or it will use my cellular data for those as well. They need to change this to "Use Cellular Data" per choice above, not for all.

I was looking to see if anyone alse noticed this stupid flaw online and I'm glad someone has! if you want to use apple music over cellular you HAVE to have automatic app updates over cellular, even if you only want app updates over wifi! seems like apple just shoved the apple music setting there without designing it properly.

This has only started popping up within the last few days, and only while I'm hooking my phone up to my Aux cable, particularly in my car. To put it simply, some songs load, some will just endlessly spin and not load. Some adds work, others don't. Sometimes the adds work, but the music won't load. Sometimes I can get a few songs to play in a row, but then I'll encounter a situation where the song just doesn't load again. Sometimes I can bypass this by skipping several songs. But I just encounter the same not losding problem several minutes later. On Wifi this is not an issue.

"But it's just your mobile carrier!", you may say. I thought this too so I checked with other apps on mobile data. They all work just fine--including the actual regular YouTube app. No slow loading or stopping issues at all. Regular internet sites load fine as well.

My friends and I are developing a product with a bluetooth reciever that connects to a speaker system. Currently we can pair with this unit and stream music over a bluetooth connection. I'd like to develop an app that I can use to control different settings on our unit while the music is streaming. My application needs to be able to do this no matter which app is streaming the music over bluetooth (native media player, spotify, pandora etc.). I'm thinking this potentially a permissions issue as opposed to a bandwidth issue...

Is it possible to send control data and an audio stream concurrently to the same bluetooth reciever? If so, could someone please point toward a good strategy that will help me accomplish this (eg what protocol to use for the control data)? If it is not possible, can someone recommend a better way to control the target device?

As for pausing music from a third party app, the easiest way would be to have the App Request Audio Focus to pause and release it to resume. Alternatively, you could have a control packet sent that would cancel the bluetooth stream of audio, but that could become quite complicated to resume.

For millennia, musicians have looked to the heavens for inspiration. Now a new collaboration is enabling actual data from NASA telescopes to be used as the basis for original music that can be played by humans.

In the data sonification process, computers use algorithms to mathematically map the digital data from these telescopes to sounds that humans can perceive. Human musicians, however, have different capabilities than computers.

Kastner chose to focus on small sections of the image in order to make the data more playable for people. This also allowed her to create spotlights on certain parts of the image that are easily overlooked when the full sonification is played.

I f you are stream music over Verizon network yes you are using data. If you download a song and do it over Verizon's network that download uses data. If you are just listening to a song that's already on your phone then no.

cache during playback means that song is technically downloaded, but not really. It helps when you listen to specific songs/albums. So your startup page when it changes uses as little of data as possible.

The prototype is a music app with song recommendations based on users history and songs metadata. I have a table formatted database on postgresql with the users, the artists and the songs. Each of these columns have their own rows, for example song have genres, danceability, number of likes, etc.

However this is where a lot of questions started to pop - basically I need to know how to format this data to then be embedded and get great results as an output. For example, build a queue of next songs to play based on a song that is currently playing and embedded history/sessions logs of the users, or make a generative playlist with songs that have similar parameters (genre, tempo artists).

[Question 6 - How will this data be returned?]: In a context where I made a successful query in my vector db, I would need a way to then query those in my database and actually serve the song to the frontend from my backend resolver. I would return something like an array of song ids that are perfectly what I needed. Is it possible?

Better example, suppose the query was to get related songs IDs to song 5 for user Id 777. Considering I have stored all the song data history as key:value pairs but in the same sentence, would it be able to return just songs ids I need in an array? like [song 5, song 888, song 11, song 54] , so I can then query those in my actual sql db?
