Progression in Nostalgia Squared starts as you'd expect, Punch Trees for wooden tools, then work your way to stone! However, that's where the differences start.
You'll need to look out for copper and tin. Copper can now be made into a cheap and effective tool, between stone and the next tier. Tin is currently used only in the production of Bronze.
Bronze is the next tier you'll need! To create it, you'll need a good amount of both Copper and Tin. 4 Copper and 2 Tin create 1 Crude Bronze, which can then be smelted into a Bronze Ingot! Bronze is also used instead of Iron in the Blast Furnace.
Once you have Bronze, you'll be able to mine Iron! Nothing below Bronze can mine it anymore. Iron is still used for all the stuff you would expect!
After Iron, you'll need to head to the Nether. Obsidian can also now be mined without a Diamond Pickaxe, to make this step feasible.Â
Once you're in the Nether, you can take in the sights and gather some Igneous Coal! Igneous Coal is twice as efficient as regular Coal, and also used to craft Crude Steel. Smelting that in a Blast Furnace creates Steel!
You'll need Steel in order to Mine Diamonds, but from there progression mostly returns to Normal. Netherite's recipes have been changed a bit, and it now requires a blast furnace in order to smelt, but the tier functions as normal.
