Handara Gate is one of Bali’s most iconic landmarks, offering a perfect blend of natural beauty and cultural charm. Set against the backdrop of Bali’s northern highlands, this towering stone gate, framed by lush greenery and misty mountains, is a stunning sight to behold. It's become a must-visit spot for travelers and photographers alike, with its dramatic split gate creating an unforgettable view.
Pura Ulun Danu Beratan, or Pura Bratan, is a major Hindu Shaivite temple in Bali, Indonesia. The temple complex is on the shores of Lake Beratan in the mountains near Bedugul. The water from the lake serves the entire region in the outflow area; downstream there are many smaller water temples that are specific to each irrigation association (subak).
Banyumala Waterfall is located in Northern Bali, between Munduk and Bedugul. The waterfall is also known as Banyumala Twin Waterfalls as it cascades down the cliff in two distinct streams. The waterfall is between 20-30m tall (no official height given) with the water cascading down the incline of the cliff in multiple streams rather than a dramatic single drop. It’s among our favourite waterfalls in northern Bali and is relatively easy to reach.
Jatiluwih area has always been known as one of the regions in Bali that produces great quality of rice. Located in the highlands (700 meters above the sea levels), and nearby the second tallest volcano in Bali, Mount Batukaru. It spans more than 53,000 hectares agriculture fields covered mostly with rice terraces. The area has hilly contours with fertile soils and offers an incredible scenery for photographs. Back in the day, the locals did not realize they have shaped nature into such a spectacular way that would be protected as a UNESCO Heritage Site. Today you’ll find Jatiluwih to be one of Bali’s must-see attractions, an iconic landmark that’s worth a visit for sure.
