All About Winter

Winter is a 5-year-old, purebred chocolate Labrador Retriever.
Her registered name is Goldrush Hoku Lei Hawaiian Pride CGC TKA.
She was born on May 17, 2020 in Utah with Goldrush Labradors.
She lives in Denver with her family, which includes her human mom, her human grandparents, her daughter Hazy, and her aunty Smudge.
She comes from a long line of well-bred black and chocolate Labradors who succeeded in the show ring, in the field, and as companions
She was previously a service dog in training for Freedom Service Dogs of America, a nonprofit that partners veterans and first responders with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries, young people with autism, and individuals with mobility changes with service dogs, professional therapy dogs, and skilled companion dogs.
She was a purpose-breeding dog for Freedom Service Dog's program where she had three litters (a total of 26 puppies!!!) for their service dog program.
She was retired from the breeding program and was officially adopted in December 2023!
Winter enjoys spending time with her friends and family (both human and dog), doing enrichment activities, going for walks, cuddling, learning new things, and playing with toys
In 2025, Winter welcomed her first litter of grandchildren, all of whom are also going through Freedom Service Dogs' training program.
