Privacy Policy of WiFi Warden Android Application
Last updated: 2026-08-30
This Privacy Policy explains how the WiFi Warden mobile application ("App", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Rosetta Intelligence (an eenmanszaak registered in the Netherlands), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the App. By using WiFi Warden, you agree to this Policy.

Account information. WiFi Warden creates an anonymous account so it works without sign-in. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name, email address, and profile photo (via Firebase Authentication). An account is required to buy or manage eSIMs, so your purchases are saved to it.
Purchases and payments. When you buy a travel eSIM or a top-up, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data. We store your purchase history (order code, eSIM identifier/ICCID, amount, date) so you can view and top up your eSIMs. Stripe also records the card's issuing country, used for tax purposes.
eSIM provisioning. To activate an eSIM, we share the eSIM identifier (ICCID) and order details with our connectivity partner, Airalo, who provisions the data plan.
Location. With your permission, the App uses precise location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION). Android requires this to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks and to read the name of the network you're connected to. It is also used to show nearby shared Wi-Fi spots on the map and, if you choose to share a network, to record that spot's location. We do not use location to track you.
Shared Wi-Fi. If you choose to share a network's password with the community, we store its network name (SSID), identifier (BSSID), the password you entered, and location in a shared database so other users can find it.
Device and diagnostic data. We collect a push-notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) to alert you when a new device joins your network or your eSIM data runs low; your IP address; device model, OS version, language, and app version; and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) and analytics (Firebase Analytics) to fix bugs and improve the App.
Advertising. Non-premium users see ads via Google AdMob, which may use an advertising identifier. In the EEA/UK you are shown a consent screen (Google UMP) and can change your choice via Ad privacy options in your Profile. Premium subscribers (billed through Google Play, managed by RevenueCat) see no ads.
Root access (optional). If your device is rooted and you grant root access, it is used on your device only to recover saved Wi-Fi passwords and connect via WPS. This is not transmitted to us.
WiFi Warden's optional Private DNS feature runs an on-device VPN to encrypt your DNS lookups using DNS-over-HTTPS to a resolver you choose. This VPN is used only to route DNS securely. We do not log, read, store, or transmit your browsing activity, DNS queries, or traffic. The tunnel runs only while you enable it, and stops when you disconnect.
Provide and operate the App's features (Wi-Fi tools, security checks, eSIM store, Private DNS).
Process eSIM purchases and top-ups, and deliver activation details.
Send you notifications you've enabled (new-device and low-data alerts).
Understand usage, fix crashes, and improve the App.
Show ads (non-premium) and, where required, request your consent for personalized ads.
Detect and prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal and tax obligations.
WiFi Warden uses these providers, each governed by its own privacy policy: Google Play Services, Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging), Google AdMob, RevenueCat (premium subscription billing), Stripe (eSIM payments), and Airalo (eSIM provisioning).
We keep your personal data only as long as needed to provide the App and meet legal obligations. If you delete your account (below), we remove your account and associated data. Transaction records held by our payment processor (Stripe) are retained for the period required by tax and accounting law, then deleted.
You can permanently delete your account and its data at any time:
In the App: open Profile → Delete account and confirm.
Without the App: visit https://api.wifiwarden.app/delete-account, or email info@rosettaintelligence.io from your account's email address.
Deletion permanently removes your account, saved eSIMs, purchase history, shared Wi-Fi entries, and push-notification tokens. Transaction records required by law (see above) are the only exception.
Depending on where you live (including the EEA/UK under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact info@rosettaintelligence.io.
WiFi Warden is for general audiences and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard measures (including encrypted connections and access controls) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
