This privacy policy governs your use of the software application WiFi Warden (“Application”) for Android devices that was created by Ramtin Ardeshiri.F. This page is used to inform app users regarding policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information if anyone decided to use WiFi Warden app.

If you choose to use WiFi Warden, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you must not use WiFi Warden.

The Information that is collected, is used for providing and improving the Services. Your information will not use or share with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

What information does the Application obtain and how is it used?

Please Note: If you are in European Economic Area (EEA), In order to comply with GDPR, you may see a consent page for ads personalization while working with the app. You can choose whether see related ads based on third-party services providers’ information that is collected from you or not. Also, you can see a list of ad technology providers and their privacy policy. Please note that the privacy policies of those ad technology providers are not included on this page and are only available in the consent page that you will see in the app. You can change your choice anytime by the "Ad Preferences" option inside the "Help" menu (You must be connected to the Internet and be in EEA in order to see this option ). If you do not see consent page and you are not in EEA, it means that personalized ads will be displayed for you.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, IP address of your device. Your IP address is used to determine which country you are in to provide services related to your region. It will not be stored online anywhere by the developer of the app. But it may be processed by third party service providers. Also, some information may be stored offline on your device about the name of the country you are in.

Permissions

Location Permission:

WiFi Warden Uses "ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION" permission to make the application able to search for available WiFi networks around you.

The reason you need to allow location permission is because of Android 6.0 (and higher versions) limitations and the new Google policy. This permission will not be used by the developer of WiFi Warden to find your exact location in any way.

Please note that third-party partners may use this permission to display relevant ads.

Root Permission:

If your phone is rooted, you can give root access to the app. This access is used to recover stored Wi-Fi passwords on your device and connection with WPS (Root-method).

Our Policy Towards Children

Our Services are not directed to persons under 16.

WiFi Warden does not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under the age of 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we take steps to remove such information.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. To opt-out from third-party third-party service providers, you must visit their privacy policy page.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and the link of this page on the twitter account of the app. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page. Please note that new changes to the privacy policies of third-party service providers must be pursued through them. We are solely responsible for changing our privacy policy.
