Welcome to the very own talk-show of WiCS, IIT Madras. 'Inspire' - as the name stands, aims at inspiring young women and girls in Computer Science to shove away the traditional barriers and take a step up in their journeys. Take a peak into our interviews with some of the women around us and learn from their insightful stories!

Geetha Kannan

WiCS had an interesting conversation with Geetha Kannan - the Founder and CEO of Wequity for Women in Technology. She is a versatile entrepreneurial leader and a pioneer for the Women in IT movement in India. With over 30 years of global experience spanning business, technology and people, her focus has always been to raise the bar, build teamwork and drive far-reaching impact. She was the India Head and Managing Director of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology before which she was the head of HR at ANZ Bank.

Nivetha Maran

As one of the ambassadors of Google Women Techmakers (WTM), Chennai — Nivetha Maran, spoke to WiCS, IIT M on February 10th 2019. WTM has been witnessing a steady increase in footfall from hardly five members in the audience ballooning to about two dozen. Hence, there was some curiosity about the entire journey and that inspired this interview. Nivetha graduated from SSN College of Engineering with a bachelors in computer science and is currently working as a front end developer at Global Analytics.
