As I mentioned in the previous post, while we were in Tel Aviv my daughter spent some time at the plaza in front of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, recently known as Hostages Square. The civilian-created installation there has become a rallying and a gathering place, and her photos here show a glimpse of how torn apart the country is over the ongoing absence of over 130 men, women, and children. It has been 77 days for most; for two of them, it has been thousands of days. The Red Cross has not visited any of them. We have no idea how many are even still alive. Of the survivors who have returned, many of the women were raped in captivity, and it is apparent that the emotional scarring of the trauma on the children may never heal. All of that is well-known news here. I see little to none of it on media sites outside of Israel.
