The Illinois Vision Leadership Council (IVLC) is a statewide unified group of leaders, within the field of low vision blindness, dedicated to empower educators in the implementation of best practice in order to maximize the potential of students with visual impairments.
Did you know that there is currently a shortage of vision professionals available to provide services for children and adults who are visually impaired? We hope you find the information on this page helpful to learn about who vision professionals are, what they do, how to become one, and how to spread the word.
If you know a high school student, college student, or anyone thinking of changing their career, please share this page and help get the word out about this great field!
We are the recruitment committee from the Illinois Vision Leadership Council (IVLC) set with the task of getting the word out about how great this professional field is! Although we are from Illinois, we know that there is a shortage of vision professionals everywhere. Our hope is to bring awareness of the need.
If you have any questions or comments regarding getting the word out to join this wonderful field, please feel free to reach out to us at WhyEyeTeach@Gmail.com
