I put in a new clock face, but my battery started dying in less than a day. So I am trying to get that one off and apply a new one. My phone is stuck on "switching"--for a day now. I have tried restarting both my watch and phone as well as deleting the app on my phone, but the problem persists. I cannot stop the switching process or choose another clock face. I keep getting the message that I can't switch until current switch is complete or a message that switch failed with option to try again or later. No option to cancel. Help!!

I purchased the Sleek Analog clock face through my Fitbit app. It displays temp and stats and EATS battery life. I tried to switch it and, long story short, was unable to. I spent an hour on chat with Fitbit and ended with a non-functioning Ionic which just flashes the logo. The final answer from Fitbit was to buy a new one for a 25% discount. My advice, stay away from that clock face and from Mayer clock faces.

I appreciate all the efforts in trying to fix this clock face issue. Upon checking with our support team, I was told that you have already contacted them. I know they will be glad to help you out and provide you a solution, just keep an eye on your inbox for further assistance.

I have the same issue with my Ionic. Clocks app is stuck on "switching" and there is no way to stop the process - i have tried uninstalling the fitbit app, cycle power on both the watch and the phone, disconnect and reconnect WiFi, etc. Any help will be appreciated.

I have an additional symptom of the right-most third of the screen on my Ionic displaying that portion of the old clock face, and the left 2/3 not displaying anything, but I assume that's because the new clock face hasn't completed the install.

Hi there, I'm very late to this discussion but have just had this same issue on my Fitbit versa. I tried all of the tips, restarting Fitbit and phone, checking Bluetooth connection, uninstalling app, clearing cache and data, allowing permissions, nothing worked. If was still stuck on switching clocks in the app. I tried scrolling through my Fitbit and where it has my saved clocks, I tried to select a new one. My phone wouldn't allow me to do this, but my Fitbit did! The last clock saved was the one I had stuck switching in the app for days. So I am able to switch between clocks that I have saved, but the app is still stuck "switching". Very frustrating but at least I can change between a few different clocks in the meantime!

First, we define elements to use for the hour, minute and seconds, andposition them from the center of the screen, pointing at the 12 o'clockposition. We define a elements for each hand, so they can be rotatedindependently of the other elements.

Ok so I tried using another samsung device than the one i was using before and it allowed me to access the apps and clock faces so it must've just been that. However, I also tried with several windows 10 computers and those didn't work either so that might need to be checked.

Please note that some devices must be connected to Wi-Fi for some apps to install or update. For instructions on connecting to Wi-Fi, see How do I connect my Fitbit watch to Wi-Fi? Make sure your phone is nearby with the Fitbit app running in the background and Bluetooth turned on. To confirm the steps to change the clock face, see How do I change the clock face on my Fitbit device?

I just bought a Versa Lite to work with my Asus Max (Android 6). No problem with BT pairing. Struggled a little to get call & text msg notification (apart from tweaking notification settings in the Fitbit app and in Android, you also need to allow auto-launch on Android bootup and disable power saving for the Fitbit app). Initially the Fitbit app cannot connect to the internet (keep saying "no internet connection") - problem solved by disabling ad blocker. Now I can start the clock face and app pages, but just like OP, whenever I click on individual clock face or app, I get the swirling icon rotating forever. I really like to change the clock face and install some apps such as calculator and monthly calendar.

Same problem here, ZTE phone. I managed to remove the default clockface, then the watch complained about no clockface for a while and it suddenly chose another clock face which I cannot remove nor add any other clockface. It still just shows the download circle forever. Syncing and other things work but no apps or clockfaces. I am on my second Iconic, first one was DOA and was replaced by the local store. The support page in the app is basically just a circular pointer reference going back to square one, it all seems pretty dodgy.

Did a factory reset, deleted and reinstalled the app, loaded the firmware update (which worked on the third attempt, what is this all about?).

Now it loaded two random clockfaces by itself, but still refuses to load anything else. Seems like buying a Samsung or whatever is a better option, this is seriously annoying and time consuming.

It seems to forget the wifi password everytime, when I open the clock settings menu it immediately turns off wifi even though I set it manually.

Any clues? Anyone? Does the staff even read these forums?

Just received a software update on the Versa Lite, and there is no new version of the fitbit app. I am still unable to install new watch faces or install new apps using the fitbit app - the problem remains the same as before as I described.

UPDATE: My Asus 3 Zoom's battery died (battery swelling) - this was the phone that I got Fitbit app to connect to the website through internet but could not download any clockface or app. I bought a Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and installed the Fitbit app. Again, the app connects with my Versa Lite through bluetooth without problem, but it got the "oops there is a problem with internet connection" message (this time I don't have any ad blockers installed on the phone).

I have this phone rooted via Magisk, and I found that all the apps that require login (Google Play, banking, CC etc.) do not work (cannot log in). Therefore I revert the phone to the original firmware (without root) and try again. Not only all the apps that require login are now working, the Fitbit app also connects to the internet and can now download / install clockfaces and apps.

None of the clockfaces will download onto my Versa 2, neither will any apps. It looks like its downloading, then it quickly fails by the end. Tried making my own clockface using Fitbit Studio and now none of my saved clockfaces will change. Tried manual syncing, unlinking and re-linking my Versa 2, uninstalled some apps to make space, shut down and restarted my watch so many times, force stopped the Fitbit App, uninstalled and reinstalled it, restarted my phone, checked for updates on everything. So nothing's working at the moment, any suggestions?

Hi there @Oliverlye, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 isn't downloading your apps or clock faces, I understand how you must be feeling. Thanks for the details provided in your post and for your time and efforts in trying to solve this inconvenience prior to posting here, I'll be glad to continue assisting you.

Thanks for letting us know that it is a known issue. I've been reading numerous items on this board and this is the first time I've read about it being a known issue. I've tried all the various possible solutions and none of them have allowed me to download any new clock faces. I've only been able to change clock faces with the ones I've already downloaded.

I bought a Charge 6 today and the clock faces options are absolutely horrendous. There are no simple ones! Overlapping numbers, big graphics, bright colors... They can't be customized and are all colorful and unprofessional. I simply can't believe there isn't a single simple white readable option.

I have a Versa 2, which I just bought. I tried to switch the clock faces, but they won't install. It keeps giving me an error telling me the installation failed. I've tried third party and Fitbit faces. I've tried force stopping the app, tried unpairing my Fitbit, restarting my phone, restarting my Fitbit, then repairing it. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling it. Nothing is working. I paid for a clock face and I expect to be able to use it. All I keep getting is a generic red screen with the time in white.

It's been 8 months and I still can't get help? I've tried everything that has been suggested on other threads and it's not working. I spent all that money on this thing and I can't get a custom clock face? You'd think that the updates to the device would fix this, but no.

I've done everything including a factory reset. Isn't there anything fitbit can do?! Frustrating doesn't begin to cover it. I've been trying for 2 days now! The clock face I'm trying is free & worked on my regular versa, a lot of money wasted just to get more frustrated.

I have a compatible phone and have done everything. Every time your app asks me "to continue installing, Some applications did not finish installing. Do I want to continue installing?" I select yes or if I select later the next error is "Unable to install. Install failed please try again later" and it just keeps repeating. I would like to use a Fitbit approved clock face and use the app without it glitches.

I called support and they said an update was released to some back in November. I asked him when could I expect the update and they said it could be days, weeks, or months. This was Saturday. On Wednesday the update showed up. Unfortunately it resolved nothing. I still can't update my clock faces. I still have ghost steps when sitting on the couch watching a movie. I also still get an error when installing and being asked to retry. 2351a5e196
