“Once upon a time…” in the land of fairy tales, Shrek the ogre lives all alone on his swamp. When his home is invaded by a gaggle of disgruntled fairytale creatures (kicked off of their land by the evil Lord Farquaad), Shrek sets out on a quest to get his swamp back. Along the way, Shrek must team up with a talkative Donkey to rescue the fiery Princess Fiona from the clutches of a lonely Dragon. This unlikely hero finds himself in the middle of an epic adventure that rewrites the traditional storybook ending. Exploring themes of identity, isolation, and friendship, there was never a better time to revisit this modern classic. Join us to see how this Tony Award Winning story unfolds, with laughter and fun for the whole family!

Waukee Theatre Arts production of SHREK THE MUSICAL will be available for streaming April 30th at 7:00pm, May 1st at 2:00pm and 7:00pm, and May 2nd at 2:00pm.
