WHS Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is proud to offer a scholarship program to encourage and enrich the educational experience of its graduating seniors. The scholarship is to be used for continuing education at a trade/technical school, a community college or a four-year college or university. WHS PTSA will award a minimum of the following to deserving seniors: 

• Two $500 scholarship to a current WHS PTSA Student Member

• Two $250 scholarships eligible for both WHS PTSA student members and non-members

Requirements for WHS PTSA Scholarship application:

• The applicant must be a senior at Washington High School, Class of 2025.

• Please fill out the applicant information. (Please type or print in black or dark blue ink. If necessary, attach separate sheets.)

• Include the brief written statements providing the information requested.

• A copy of the applicant’s transcript which includes 1st semester of senior year. (An unofficial copy is acceptable.)

• All applications must be submitted between March 11th and April 22nd, 2025.

• Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

• Please submit your completed application packet by emailing to scholar.whsptsa@gmail.com.

Selection: 

• Recipients will be selected by a panel which may include WHS PTSA Executive Board Members, WHS staff members or WHS administrators.

• The decision of the WHS PTSA Scholarship committee is final.

• Personal interviews will not be conducted, so the application you submit is the only means of evaluating you as a potential scholarship recipient. The evaluation process is done anonymously. All personal information is concealed from the scholarship review committee. 

• Please note that submitted information may be verified. 

• The PTSA Scholarship Awards will be presented at Senior Awards Night.

Payment of Award: 

• A copy of an acceptance letter and proof of intent to enroll from a college, university or trade/technical school will be required to receive any award.

• Payments are made to recipients on a reimbursement basis. Recipients must submit receipts paid to the college that total at least the amount of the scholarship award.

• The scholarship checks will be issued to the recipients upon receipt of receipts and enrollment documentation. This verification must be received by WHS PTSA by October 1, 2025. 

• WHS PTSA reserves the right to revoke any scholarship award in the event the student fails to enroll in an eligible institution of higher education, if the student fails to provide enrollment documents by the deadline or if the student is subject to severe disciplinary action such as suspension or expulsion.
