This is basically what students will need when dressed in their band uniforms. All items must be clean and ready to go. If a student does not have all pieces of the uniform he/she will not participate.
Uniform-purple uniform jacket, black overalls, hat (shako or beret), and gloves.
Black Socks-these must be above the ankle type.
Black Band Shoes-these are purchased through the music department when the kids get their uniforms and are around $40.
Black t-shirt-for under the uniform jacket. When going to cold and/or rainy events a long sleeve one is recommended. Bring both.
Black shorts/spanks or leggings-These are worn under the uniform. The kids do a lot of moving/marching and these help prevent chaffing from the polyester uniforms. In addition, students change into their uniforms on the bus, so something besides undergarments is needed.
Bag-When traveling kids bring a bag for the bus. In this they pack snacks/meals, drinks, extra clothes, bus blanket, sweatshirts, and homework.
Money-When traveling the band stops for meals. Kids can pack their own, but many purchase something. Also during games, they typically have 3rd quarter off where they may purchase a snack from concessions.
Pep Folders-Required for games.
