ABSTRACT LANDSCAPES

WHS Art students learned how to create a landscape inspired by famous artist, Vasily Kandinsky. They learned how to create both naturalistic and abstract landscapes. They applied a variety of bold colors to demonstrate mood and expression. They learned how to blend oil pastels and apply them to the different parts of a landscape: foreground, middleground, and background, as well as the placement of the horizon line that separates the sky from the land.
