About the PTO
The Whittier Primary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created for the purpose of supporting the children at our school by fostering relationships among the school, parents/guardians, and teachers. There is no membership fee, and participation in the PTO is open to all families and staff members of the Whittier community, and all are encouraged to be an active member of our school.
The Whittier PTO Board directs the activities of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). The Board consists of elected officers, the school principal, as well as teacher and staff representatives. Officers are nominated and elected in the spring to serve the following academic year.

In preparation for our new playground to be installed the summer of 2021, we still have some planning and fundraising.
Our outside classroom has so many possibilities. Between planning for what to plant, fundraising for projects for the students (i.e. rock painting, planting seeds, etc.)

This committee works to build relationships with the parents and teachers and engages kids to socialize. This is particularly important at the beginning of the year. This committee has also hosted kid events like Fun Fridays (lego challenges, virtual Pictionary, Tell a Joke, etc.) as well as a virtual parent Whine & Cheer events.

Fundraising & Special Events
In order to do any of these great activities for our kids, we need to raise money. Throughout the year, we have various events, such as, monthly restaurant nights, boonsupply.com, spirit wear sales, movie nights at school, etc.
We need volunteers to make these events successful!

You will help review the end of the year financial statement provided by the Treasurer. Periodic checks on the budget throughout the year.
