Sign up to be the newest member of Whitney Lynn's Street Team. The only requirement is to make an account with StoryOrigin or BookSprout and apply to recieve an ARC copy of my book.
This is absolutely free! Once you get approved for the Street Team, you'll be sent a link to my Facebook Street Team Group for a secure place to discuss the book and to ask any questions.
If you do not receive a link, please email me at whitney.lynn.author@gmail.com.
You become one of my hype people! Read the book, plan a review and then release your review on the day of the book’s release. It’s that simple. A Street Team is so important to the book's release because Amazon’s algorithm pays attention when a book gets a ton of reviews. Then it recommends that book to other people. Even if you post on Goodreads or your own social media, it still lets people know about the book! Which helps with the success of the book.
It stands for Advanced Reader Copy. It's a copy of the book you'll receive during the ARC period before the book's release date. For my Street Team, I provide a free ebook or PDF copy of my book.
I use Story Origin or Booksprout. You'll need to sign up with these websites to gain access to your copy of the book. The websites will then allow you to download your free copy. You can write your review ahead of the release date and store it in your account so you don't have to remember to do it. And the websites reminds you on the release date so you don't forget to submit your reviews to Amazon, your social media or blog!
No, unfortunately. The cost would be too prohibitive for me as an independent author. But I promise you’ll love the ebook or PDF version. And if you decide you just have to have a physical copy of the book, it will be available for purchase on the day of release.
No. Any review is important to Amazon’s algorithm so even if you didn’t like the book, I still encourage you to submit a review. The book may not have been for you, but there may be others who will still give it a try based on your review.
I also have a Facebook group that is only offered my Street Team members. It's place for release date announcements and where you and other Street Team members can talk about the book without spoiling it for potential readers. You'll receive an invitation to that group in your once your application is approved.
And for those that don't mind sending me their mailing address, I usually have a small "thank you" gift for my Street Team members who sign up for the facebook group and allow me to have your mailing address. This is not a requirement. I do not keep any addresses given to me. And it is only available for readers in the USA. (sorry!)
Social media! Talking about my book ahead of time on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Goodreads is a great way to bring attention to my book. Word of mouth is always valuable. If you’re interested in some media images and fan art of Ophelia, please email me and I can hook you up!
Email me at whitney.lynn.author@gmail.com and I will get back with you as soon as I can!
