Toby adores his big sister, Sarah. When he was little Sarah used to tell him bedtime stories of the magical land of the Underground and the castle at the center of the labyrinth belonging to the diabolical Goblin King, Jareth. But when Sarah is in a horrific accident, Toby is devastated to find she doesn't remember anything, including him. He makes a deal with the Goblin King-solve the Labyrinth and he will restore Sarah's memories and Toby can take her home. But if he doesn't within the thirteen hours, Jareth will take possession of Sarah, and Toby will never see his beloved sister ever again. But what he doesn't know is Jareth has no intention of Toby succeeding. A large convergence of power is ready to manifest in Sarah on her twenty-sixth birthday and if Jareth can get Sarah to willingly submit herself to him then he will have access to this power as well as have possession of the woman he loves. Time is against both Jareth and Toby as the clock winds down to the thirteen hour and the dawning of Sarah's birthday. With the help of friends, old and new, Toby races to save Sarah from a fate worse than even he knows.
