Team Dinners

All JV and Varsity swimmers are treated to a team dinner each week, hosted by 2-3 families. It's a great opportunity for the teams to bond and celebrate upcoming meets. Dinners are held once a week from 5:30 - 6:30pm. Menu ideas include tacos, mac & cheese, lasagna, classic spaghetti and meatballs, salad, breadsticks, fruit, and dessert. Several athletes are vegan or vegetarian, so meatless options are appreciated.

Host families should plan to feed  45 - 50 hungry swimmers. Athletes who do not plan to attend a team dinner are asked to text the host family at least 24 hours in advance of a dinner so no food is wasted.

Press the "Sign up" Button to volunteer as a host/co-host for team dinners.

COncessions

The Swim Team sells Concessions in the Field House lobby, just outside the pool area, during home meets.  Money raised from Concession sales helps to cover the cost of Best of the Bay costumes and senior gifts, as well as offset the cost of swim suits and banquet fees.  Parent volunteers are needed to run the Concessions Stand during home meets. There are 2 sessions per meet with 2 volunteers per session, so no one will miss seeing their child swim!  Food and drink donations also are needed to stock the Concession Stand.

Press the "Sign up" Button to volunteer to help with Concessions.

Car Wash Fundraiser

Our coaches and senior swimmers organize a car wash at Cahill Park on a Saturday morning after morning practice. Funds raised help pay for Best of the Bay supplies, Senior Gifts, and Banquet costs.

Best of the bay

Best of Bay is a Whitefish Bay tradition where various school sports teams and clubs dress in themed costumes and compete for the best outfit.  Swim Team seniors corral underclassmen from their homes early Friday morning of Homecoming weekend. Team members are gathered at one house where they are dressed in their costumes, enjoy breakfast together before school, and participate in the Homecoming parade.

Friday, September 29th

Parent Night

During the last home meet, each swimmer is recognized, presented with a flower and poses for a picture with family.  Volunteers are needed to help take photos, distribute flowers, and recruit freshman and sophomore swimmers to help decorate and assemble the picture frames that are presented to each athlete later in the season.

Press the "Sign up" Button to volunteer.

Banquet

All swimmers, parents and siblings are invited to a catered dinner at the River Tennis Club! More information will be distributed as the event draws near. Awards and honors are presented, and coaches and seniors receive special recognition and a traditional gift.  Volunteers help with all the many needs of a successful banquet.

Speak with our parent leader to volunteer to help with the Banquet.
