Terms of Service — WhiteBoard.io
Effective date: July 17, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WhiteBoard.io mobile application ("the app"), developed by MD Developer Studio ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What WhiteBoard.io is
WhiteBoard.io is a digital whiteboard app for drawing, sketching, teaching, and note-taking. All content you create is stored locally on your device. The app does not require an account and, as described in our Privacy Policy, we do not collect your personal data.
2. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for personal, educational, or professional use, in accordance with these Terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from (such as Google Play).
You may not:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app;
- reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the app's source code, except where the law expressly permits it;
- use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
3. Your content
Everything you create in the app — boards, drawings, text, and imported images — belongs to you. We claim no ownership of your content and, because it is stored only on your device, we have no access to it.
You are solely responsible for the content you create, import, or share using the app, and for making sure you have the rights to any photos or documents you bring into it.
4. Backups and data loss
The app stores your boards on your device and provides a manual backup feature. You are responsible for creating and keeping backups of content that matters to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of content caused by device failure, uninstalling the app, software errors, or the absence of a backup.
5. Handwriting recognition and third-party services
Some features rely on services provided by Google, such as on-device ML Kit recognition, Google Play in-app updates, and in-app review prompts. Your use of those services is also subject to Google's own terms and policies. Recognition results are provided "as is" and may not always be accurate.
6. Updates and changes to the app
We may update the app from time to time to add features, fix bugs, or maintain compatibility. We may also modify or discontinue features (or the app itself) at any time without liability to you.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MD Developer Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app.
9. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end support for the app, or terminate this license, if you breach these Terms.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the effective date shown above. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
