Effective date: July 18, 2026
WhiteBoard.io ("the app", "we", "us") is developed by MD Developer Studio. This policy explains what information the app handles and how. By using WhiteBoard.io, you agree to this policy.
We built WhiteBoard.io to keep your work on your own device. We do not run our own servers, we do not require an account, and we do not collect or sell your personal information.
Your boards, drawings, text, handwriting, photos you add, and backups are stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. This content stays on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back it up. We do not upload or receive a copy of it.
When you add a photo from your camera or gallery, a copy is saved inside the app's private folder on your device so it can appear on your board. These images are not sent to us and are not uploaded anywhere by the app.
The app can recognize handwriting and printed text using Google ML Kit, which runs entirely on your device. The recognition models may be downloaded over the internet the first time they are used, but the content you write or scan is processed on-device and is not sent to us.
If you use the in-app image search, the text of your search query is sent to Wikimedia Commons (commons.wikimedia.org) to return freely licensed images. Your query is used only to perform the search and is subject to Wikimedia's own privacy policy.
The free version of the app shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may collect and process data from your device, including device identifiers such as the Advertising ID, along with general app and device information. This data is handled by Google in accordance with its own policies.

How Google uses information from apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Where required by law (for example, in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), the app shows a consent message before serving personalized ads, and you can choose non-personalized ads instead. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy settings in the app (shown where applicable).
The app offers an optional premium (ad-free) purchase. All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card, bank, or billing details — Google handles the transaction. The app only stores a local flag on your device indicating whether premium has been unlocked.
The app uses internet access only to: show ads, download on-device recognition models, and perform image search. It does not transmit your boards or personal content to us.
WhiteBoard.io is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and ads are configured in line with Google Play's Families and advertising policies. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.
Because your content is stored locally, you can delete it at any time by removing boards in the app or by uninstalling the app, which removes the app's local data from your device. There is no account and no server-side personal data for us to delete. Your Advertising ID can be reset or limited from your device's Android settings.
Data sent for ads and image search is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Your on-device content is stored in the app's private storage area provided by the operating system.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
