WHHS Art Honors Night Awards
Art Senior Award of Distinction
Each year one senior is recognized at the WHHS Honors Night with the Art Senior Award of Distinction. This award is given to the senior artist who has excelled during his/her tenure at WHHS.
In addition to scholarship, factors such as enthusiasm, volunteer activities outside the classroom, post-high school study, and probable career choice are considered. This student has shown a strong interest in further study in art and will likely choose a profession that requires an emphasis in art.

Art Underclassman Award
Each year one underclassman (9th - 11th grade) is recognized at the WHHS Honors Night with the Art Underclassman Award. This award is given to the art student who best embodies the spartan characteristics or Principled, Driven, and United.
Junior
National Art Honor Society Cord
To graduate with NAHS honors and earn the right to wear a cord at graduation, a member must completed 20 hours or art based community service as well as all other requirements to remain in good standing until the graduation date.
National Art Honor Society Graduation Cords, sometimes referred to as rainbow graduation cords, are worn at graduation to recognize membership in NAHS. These honor cords are called rainbow cords because they feature 6 different colors between two graduation cords that are tied together in a double cord.

Georgia Fine Arts Diploma Seal
To graduate with the Georgia Fine Arts Diploma Seal and earn the right to wear a cord at graduation, a member must meet all the requirements outlined by the Georgia Department of Education.
Fine Arts Diploma Seal Cords are worn at graduation to recognize recipients of the Georgia Fine Arts Diploma Seal. These honor cords feature 3 different colors; brown representing the visual arts, white representing theater, and pink representing music.

This recognition is awarded to the exemplory senior(s) who has met all requirements to be awarded the National Art Honor Society Graduation Cord, the Georgia Fine Arts Diploma Seal, and completed all the requirements for the IB Career Pathway.
