To be eligible, a journalist must:
Be a foreign correspondent.
Be accredited by the White House Press Office
Work for foreign-based or international media serving non-U.S. audiences.
Adhere to the WHFMG Code of Ethics.
Membership Categories:
Tier 1
Based in Washington, D.C.
Covers the White House at least three days per week.
Holds all three credentials mentioned above:
White House credential
Congressional ID
Foreign Press Center or State Department credential
Eligible for:
Official assignments
Voting
Be elected in the Executive Committee
Tier 2
Based in the D.C. area
Covers broader U.S. policy
Holds at least the White House credential
Not eligible for official assignment participation or to hold office
Has voting rights, but cannot be elected to the Executive Committee
