Where Souls Blossom is a one-shot comic book that revolves around Mebuyan as a female who has always wanted to be a mother but is unfortunately infertile and unable to produce any of her offspring before Mebuyan descends to the Underworld. She asked Lumabat, her brother and the god of the first heaven, for help changing her appearance with multiple breasts to aid and be the motherly figure of unborn children. To have various breasts, Mebuyan aims to aid unfortunate children who have not experienced nor had a mother figure in their lives. Mebuyan has a habit of humming lullabies while nurturing unborn children. If she is in a good mood, the Underworld, filled with blooming flowers, will become like spring and bloom more, stating that the atmosphere or air relaxes one's mind and heart. Mebuyan created the Underworld to portray a peaceful field full of flowers that represents a warm and enclosed world; she wants to make an underworld image that is neither dark nor melancholy to help break the stereotypical depiction of the Underworld, especially for the children's souls.
Pamulak Manobo, the god of all gods and also a father figure to Mebuyan and Lumabat, finds out that Mebuyan had created her own version of the Underworld without his permission and cast a threat towards her, promising that he would turn her back into a human if she did not provide an explanation for her actions. Mebuyan, determined to protect the children's souls, asked help from Lumabat to resolve Pamulak Manobo's looming threat. Eventually, the two manage to convince Pamulak Manobo that Mebuyan's actions were made with good intentions, and he ultimately believes that Mebuyan will have free reign over the children's souls and that she will continue to nurture them and give them the love they never received.
