Born in 2001 in Providence, Rhode Island, some of my earliest memories are reminiscent of using a desktop in my dark basement to write my first book. I imagined then that picking the font was the hardest part of the publishing process, but I now digress.
Back in 2015, I had started this project in hopes of self-publishing within the coming years. I was faced with a severe obstacle about halfway through the first draft, when it was unfortunately deleted. Truthfully, it took me a lot of strength to pick the pen back up. I was so hurt from losing the initial draft that I thought I could never create it again. My attempt to turn my daydream into reality was simply lost, tasking me further to solidify my fortitude. After years of internal battling, I decided to put my best foot forward and start again. To live with regret for what once was or what could’ve been is a loss I am unwilling to experience with this story. I hope you find the same joy in reading that I did while I was writing.
