Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to stipulate the terms and conditions for the use of location-based services (tourist spot inquiry, radius/filter/bookmark functions, travel record sharing, etc., hereinafter referred to as the "Service") provided by Whego, as well as the rights, duties, and responsibilities between the Company and the User.
Article 2 (Standard Rules)
Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by the Act on the Protection and Use of Location Information, the Personal Information Protection Act, other relevant laws, and the Company’s Privacy Policy.
Article 3 (Service Content and Fees)
The Company provides the following location-based services free of charge:
- Tourist Spot Inquiry: Searching for nearby tourist spots using current location, radius, and filters.
- Bookmark Function: Saving spots of interest as favorites.
- Travel Record Sharing: Uploading travel journals (text, photos, location) created by the User and sharing them with friends or the public.
In the event that additional services or paid functions not specified in these Terms are provided, a separate notice will be given and the Terms will be amended accordingly.
Article 4 (Rights of Personal Location Information Subjects)
1. The User may withhold or withdraw all or part of their consent for the collection, use, and provision of location information, or request a temporary suspension.
2. The User may, at any time, request to view or correct data confirming the collection, use, and provision of their location information.
3. Upon receiving such a request, the Company shall take action without delay and, in the case of withdrawal of consent, immediately destroy the relevant data.
Article 5 (Change or Suspension of Service)
The Company may change or suspend all or part of the Service for unavoidable reasons such as facility inspection, updates, changes in affiliate policies, or amendments to laws. In the event of suspension or change, prior notice will be provided.
Article 6 (Prohibition of Third-Party Provision)
The Company shall not provide or sell the User's location information to third parties, except as based on laws or with the separate consent of the User.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
1. The location information and tourist spot information provided by the Company may contain errors due to technical or environmental factors (base station status, GPS satellite status, terrain, weather conditions, etc.). The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or real-time nature of the information. Users should use the information provided for reference purposes only, and the Company shall not be held liable for any damages arising from reliance on such information.
2. The Company is not responsible for service interruptions or errors caused by force majeure such as natural disasters or system failures.
3. The Company is not responsible for service results, such as location errors or data inaccuracies, unless there is intent or gross negligence by the Company.
4. The Company is not responsible for disputes or accidents between the User and third parties arising during the use of the Service.
Article 8 (Dispute Resolution)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. In the event of a dispute, the competent court of the Company’s location shall be the court of first instance.
