Back-to-School Staff Luncheon & Raffle

Chair:

Every year the PTA and Wheeler community likes to welcome back the Wheeler staff with a catered lunch and a fun raffle, giving teachers the option to pick from gift cards, items from their wish list, and/or special presents made/donated by the community.

Student/Parent Directory

Chair: PTA Board

Wheeler staff is not able to share student/parent contact information with the community. Therefore, the PTA has created a directory to give the Wheeler community access to the grade level your student is in. The collection of this information happens once per year. Be sure to fill this out at the beginning of each school year for your access to your student's grade level info.

This is the only way you will have contacts for birthday and playdate invites!

Open House

Chair:

We have a table at the open house for you to visit; this is a great place to start or end. You will receive information about the student directory, spirit wear, volunteer opportunities, and becoming a part of the PTA.

Yearbook

Chair: NEEDED

Co-Chair: Laura Nagle

This is a job for a village! And Wheeler is just that—a village of parents, teachers, and students who create memories all year long. The yearbook is an easy way for us to remember classmates, events, and so much more.

Each year, the cover is designed by a student in 5th grade!

Spirit Wear

Chair: Jess Banion & Lana Noack

Help with the design for the upcoming school year as well as the order platform for the community to order spirit wear. Once the order is placed, the chair helps with distribution.

Wednesday Munchies

Chair: Laura Campbell

The kids get dismissed early, but the staff uses this time to get caught up and plan ahead. One Wednesday each month, the PTA and community treats the teachers to Wednesday Munchies in the teacher's lounge!

Classroom Parent Coordinator

Chair: Metta West

At the beginning of the school year, each teacher sends out a form to fill out for the parent/student directory. At the end of the form, you will be asked if you are interested in serving as a room parent. Each classroom needs one room parent or guardian. Then, one room parent/guardian for each grade level will step up to help with communication among that grade's room parents and the PTA so we can easily facilitate classroom parties and other fun events!

Classroom Parties

Chair: Metta West

The PTA hosts two classroom parties throughout the year. One is the Fall Party and the other is a Valentine's Party. This chair helps to coordinate with admin about the upcoming event dates, time, and volunteer coordination for the day of.
