Chair: PTA Board
Every year the PTA and Wheeler community likes to welcome back the Wheeler staff with a catered lunch and a fun raffle, giving teachers the option to pick from gift cards, items from their wish list, and/or special presents made/donated by the community.

Wheeler staff is not able to share student/parent contact information with the community. Therefore, the PTA has created a directory to give the Wheeler community access to the grade level your student is in. The collection of this information happens once per year. Be sure to fill this out at the beginning of each school year for your access to your student's grade level info.
This is the only way you will have contacts for birthday and playdate invites!

We have a table at the open house for you to visit; this is a great place to start or end. You will receive information about the student directory, spirit wear, volunteer opportunities, and becoming a part of the PTA.

This is a job for a village! And Wheeler is just that—a village of parents, teachers, and students who create memories all year long. The yearbook is an easy way for us to remember classmates, events, and so much more.
Each year, the cover is designed by a student in 5th grade!

Help with the design for the upcoming school year as well as the order platform for the community to order spirit wear. Once the order is placed, the chair helps with distribution.

The kids get dismissed early, but the staff uses this time to get caught up and plan ahead. One Wednesday each month, the PTA and community treats the teachers to Wednesday Munchies in the teacher's lounge!

CLASSROOM PARTIES COORDINATION:
The PTA facilitates two afternoons of classroom parties throughout the school year. Fall Classroom Parties are in October, and Valentine's Classroom Parties are in February. The chairs coordinate with school admin, room parents, and party volunteers to facilitate planning and execution!
Don't worry; the structure is already in place! Chairs just need to be available for:
Oct. 7, 2025 - Party-planning meeting at 6:30 p.m.
Oct. 31, 2025 - Fall parties day (around 1-3:30 p.m.)
Jan. 20, 2026 - Party-planning meeting at 6:30 p.m.
Feb. 12, 2026 - Valentine's parties day (around 1-3:30 p.m.)
ROOM PARENT COORDINATION:
Before we even start planning the parties, the Classroom Parties & Room Parent Chairs get the list of room parents (one Room Parent/Guardian per classroom; signup is sent by classroom teachers in their welcome email) and touch base with them throughout the year about events or ideas, such as coordinating group holiday gifts for teachers.
Please note: We ask that Classroom Parties & Room Parent Chairs don't also sign up to be room parents. That way chairs can pop into all the classrooms during classroom parties and fill in wherever if needed!

We all love to dine out—especially when a percentage of our tab goes back to the school's PTA!
Keep your eye out for the next family night and help support that restaurant and your PTA.

Teachers are busy, busy on conference nights, so we like to treat them to a meal to keep them going!

This is an easy way to make keepsakes of your kids' favorite art projects AND give a little back to the school PTA.
This event is the PTA's most profitable event that allows us to give back to the school and community. There are so many parts and people involved to make this event a total success!
