We introduced new members to what we do at Latin Club! We also introduced the officer board, and we told them about conventions as well as the scheduled meeting on the 14th about academics.
Our first vice president of academics, Aanya, gave a presentation on the academic contests that members could take such as Certamen, Latin League, and tests. She also handed out cookies afterwards.
We met at Weatherstone where we had pizza, cookies, soda, and chips! We also played capture the flag after we ate and introduced everyone. Please see the kickoff photo drive here!
Three teams tried to draw the best Mr. Ward, play trashketball, and cupstack the fastest. Team Anti-Adi won with team Cupcake at second and team 6,7 last. Find the photos from this event here!

We had our Saturnalia Party, which is an ancient Roman festival held around Christmas. We made hot chocolate and had white elephant. Thank you to Aanshi for hosting!
Wheeler JCL met in Mr. Ward's room to carve soap to make classical symbols and fold tinfoil to make bullas.
Lupercalia is a Roman festival held typically around Valentines' day. To celebrate, we had a potluck with a lot of chips, drinks, and candy!
