During the show children who came through with family had the opportunity to go on a Scavenger Hunt! Society Members were asked to make Patriotic (red/white/blue) quilt blocks. These blocks were posted around the show. Children searched for & identified each of 20 blocks & were rewarded with a sweet treat when they turned in their completed hunt paper.
A wonderful presentation was given several times each day titled- The Evolution of Quilting. The presentation spanned the art of quilting from ancient days, up through modern days. Antique quilts, quilt tops and other items displayed were utilized to augment the presentation. It was a great learning/teaching opportunity for all those present! Thanks Dinah!!
