Welcome to the Wheat Capital Quilt Society's Webpage

The Wheat Capital Quilt Society’s Mission is to stimulate, broaden, and perpetuate the interest in and preservation of textile art.

We'd love to have you visit or join our group in person. Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the Month  at 6:30 p.m. Meeting site-  St. Anthony Parish Hall, 207 North "C", Wellington, KS 67152   Come check us out, membership dues are not required for visits!

November & December Meetings are combined into one meeting, held in the first 1/2 of December.

Wheat Capital Quilt Society was founded in August 2016 & has continued to grow!   Our  first meeting location was at the Wellington Public Library.   The Society now meets monthly at the St. Anthony Parish Hall, as listed above. WCQS is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization & a Member of the Wellington Area Chamber of Commerce.

We as a Society & Individual Members support & donate quilts & other sewn items to various other organizations in the South Central Kansas area, including, but not limited to:

Quilts of Valor; Futures Unlimited; Wellington High School - Annual Work Day & Sewing Class; Wellington Christian Academy - Quilt Bingo & Sewing Club; St. Anthony Church - Quilt Bingo; Sleep In Heavenly Peace; Wichita's Littlest Heros and other organizations.  Our members are very generous!
