Dr. Livingston Bear enjoys the holiday season for the treats and goodies, which he extends as far into January as he can. While visiting his brothers (Lindbergh Bear, Luis Alvarez Bear, and Linus Pauling Bear), he got a dashing new shirt and hat, and they sent him home with a big bag of nuts. What is a bear to do, but make praline pecans? In 5 easy steps:
1. Toast 4 generous cups of happy pecans, 5-10 min at 350 degrees.
2. Mix together a packed cup of brown sugar, half a cup of heavy cream, a splash of vanilla, a dash of cinnamon, a generous pinch of sea salt.
3. Release those toasty pecans, let them cool, and then mix them up with the brown sugar and cream.
4. Spread the coated pecans on the baking sheet, and bake for 10-15 min, stirring once in between.
5. Let those cute praline pecans cool, then package them up in a deceptive French cookie tin to send to friends and family.
Happy New Year, Praline Pecan-Chan! You shall now be eaten.

Livingston Bear, Luis Alvarez Bear, Linus Pauling Bear, and Ludwig van Beethoven Bear got together over Christmas and made gingerbread houses. Lindbergh Bear had set out to climb the 13 tallest mountain peaks but had not yet returned...
Of course, no recipe is needed in this case because the gingerbread houses were all pre-cooked. It was definitely the way to go! The pre-constructed houses allowed for more fun decoration time. The small village houses suffered from inferior icing and impatience. Before the icing had set the bears wanted to decorated the pre-fabricated houses. Luckily, Linus Pauling Bear was supervising the operation and noticed the drooping houses.
The final village was a masterpiece of bear creativity and teamwork. Next year, the bears shall use these pictures to remind Lindbergh Bear of the Christmas cheer that he could miss if a climb goes wrong.
