Whalefuud Games is an independent, one-person game studio creating simple, cozy mobile comfort games.

My first release, Decades: 10-20-30 Solitaire, is a playful take on a childhood favourite of mine, a vintage solitaire card game built around clearing sets of cards that add to 10, 20, or 30.

I remember playing it on the carpet, in front of the Big floor model wood-box tube TV, that was more a piece of furniture than a decoration in the playroom! I'd been looking for a digital version of it for years, and then, on a whim, I decided....what the heck! Why don't I make it myself?

I don't know if this is a mid-life crisis, a hidden dream I didn't know I had, or just some plain fun..... but here it is. In all it's Work-in-Progress glory. This site will be improved...just as soon as I learn how. grin. splash!

Whalefuud Games ("I," "me") operates the Decades: 10-20-30 Solitaire mobile app ("the App"). This policy explains what information the App collects and how it's used.

Information I Collect:

Game Progress & Cloud Save: The App does not require you to create an account with a name, email, or password. Game progress, coin balance, and accessibility settings are stored locally on your device, and are also securely backed up to my cloud servers (via Firebase) so your progress can be restored if you reinstall the App or switch devices. This cloud save is tied to an anonymous device identifier only.

Friends: The App's Friends feature is optional and requires signing in with Google Play Games. If you sign in, I store your Play Games account ID, the display name and avatar you choose in the App, a friend code, and basic stats (your level, star count, and games played) so friends you add can find you and see this information on your profile card. This data is stored in my Firebase database and is only visible to players you've connected with via a friend code. To prevent gift abuse in the Friends feature, I also store a one-way hash of your device identifier alongside your profile. It cannot be used to identify your device or you outside the game.

Leaderboards: If you are signed in with Google Play Games, the App submits your scores (such as your total stars, lifetime wins, coins earned, highest single-run score, and longest win streak) to Google Play Games leaderboards. These scores are tied to your Play Games account and are shown according to your Google Play Games settings. Leaderboards are provided by Google and are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Purchases: If you make an in-app purchase, the transaction itself is processed entirely by Google Play Billing — I do not receive or store your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.). I use RevenueCat to manage purchase entitlements; RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and an anonymous user ID to confirm what you've bought, but never your card details.

Advertising: The App shows optional rewarded ads (e.g., watch an ad for a bonus). My advertising partner, Google AdMob, may collect a device advertising identifier and other technical information (device type, general location, app usage) to serve and measure ads. If you're in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you'll be asked to consent to personalized advertising the first time ads would show, and you can change that choice anytime in the App under Settings → Ad Privacy Settings. This data is governed by Google's Privacy & Terms and AdMob's data collection practices.

Bug Reports & Feedback: If you choose to send a bug report or feedback from Settings → Report a Bug / Send Feedback, the App sends me the message you type, the App version, your device type, and recent error messages, to help me fix problems. You may also enter an email address, which is optional and used only to reply to you. This is sent to me by email through a relay service (Cloudflare) and an email delivery service (Resend). I keep reports only as long as needed to fix the problem and reply. You can ask me to delete a report by emailing whalefuudgames@gmail.com.

Children's Privacy: The App is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Account & Data Deletion: You can delete your Decades account and all associated data at any time directly within the app: go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your saved game data, coin balance, cloud save, and Friends data (display name, friend code, and friend connections) from my servers and cannot be undone. If you're unable to access the app, you may request deletion by emailing whalefuudgames@gmail.com with the subject line "Delete My Account" along with your in-app username or user ID. Data deletion requests submitted by email are typically processed within 7 business days. Scores already submitted to Google Play Games leaderboards are stored by Google and are not removed when you delete your account in the App; you can manage them in your Google Play Games settings.

Changes to This Policy: I may update this policy as the App changes. Updates will be posted on this page.
