Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways to get involved with the PTA, whether that be donating your time, money, ideas or encouragement. If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about different ways to volunteer please fill out the PTA Committee Sign-up Form.
Fall Fun Run
Fall Fun Run
Volunteer to help with setup/cleanup and cheer on the students.
Dines for Donations
Dines for Donations
Volunteer to contact local businesses to setup dines for donations events. Typically, a business will set aside an evening were a portion of all proceeds go the school.
Staff Appreciation
Staff Appreciation
Volunteer to bring in meals/snacks and help with setup/clean-up for various staff appreciation events. Events include back-to-school assessments, conferences, staff appreciation week, and the end-of-year picnic.
Family Fun Nights
Family Fun Nights
Volunteer to help plan, sell concessions, or help with setup/clean-up for various family fun nights. Events include back-to-school night, glow dance party, bingo, and spring playdate.
VEAP
VEAP
Volunteer to help plan dress-up days or potentially deliver food items donated after VEAP school pick-up times.
Nominating Committee
Nominating Committee
Volunteer to help facilitate board nomination and induction at the end of the school year. Nominating verbiage is provided.
If you would like to volunteer at Westwood in the classrooms, the lunchroom, on fieldtrips, and other opportunities, you will need to complete the Volunteer Application and Background Check.
Fundraising Opportunities
General Donations
General donations are accepted via cash, check (Westwood PTA), PayPal (westwood271pta@gmail.com), and Square (via Spirit Wear Store). Please note that PayPal and Square charge fees on the PTA side. Donations are tax-deductible, and receipts are available upon request (also available here).
