What is Read-It!?

Read-It! is a reading fundraiser that encourages kids to read (or be read to) as many minutes as they can to earn fun prizes and raise money for Westwood, while encouraging kids and families to get in touch with their extended family, friends and community (always with a grown-up’s permission). Everyone who turns in a signed reading log with any amount read will be entered in a drawing to win a grade level participation prize!

Top Earner for School: Mall of America Gift Basket (over $500 value) and a Read-It! Certificate

Top Reader Per Grade (6 winners K-5): $30 Wild Rumpus Books gift card and a Read-It! Certificate

Grade Level Participation Drawing (6 winners K-5): Westwood T-Shirt and a Read-It! Certificate

Participation Prize: Every student who turns in a packet will receive a coupon for a free treat!

Reading and Fundraising Goal

Our goal is to have the entire school read 55,000 minutes during Read-It and raise $8,000! Last year we read over 55,000 minutes and raised over $8,000. Let’s see if we can do it again! If students reach the school wide reading goal, the PTA and staff have a surprise in store for you!

How to Donate 

You can make a donation in any amount to support a student’s reading goal and the Westwood PTA. We can accept donations via PayPal Friends & Family (westwood271pta@gmail.com or paypal.me/westwood271pta ), cash or check (made to Westwood PTA). Please include the student name, teacher and grade with your PayPal payment note or on the memo line of your check.  Donations are due by March 21 and must be received before March 24th to qualify for prizes. 

This donation is tax deductible and receipts are available upon request.
