Westside's Battle of the Books

2027 Battle of the Books 

The 2027 Battle of the Books will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2027 at Westside Middle School. 

This annual Westside district tradition will provide an opportunity for teams of 3-5 students in 4th-6th grade to participate in a quiz bowl-style competition where they answer questions based on content from the 2026-2027 Golden Sower chapter book nominees.

Registration

Registration is now open, and will remain open until February 5, 2027. To register your team:

1. Complete this Google Form with your team's information, and

2. Pay $20 to the WCC Venmo account. Either scan the QR code above or enter "@WestsideCC-Omaha" into Venmo, and send the $20 per team registration fee.

All of these books are available at your school library. The books can also be borrowed from the Omaha Public Library. Many books are available as ebooks, audiobooks, and downloadable audiobooks.
