At the end of the school year, there will be a full Art Gallery show that will showcase the fourth and fifth grade Art Club projects, the Reflection entries that have moved forward in the competition, the fifth grade band, and the Music for Youth Orchestra students. This will take place on THURSDAY, APRIL 29, 2027 at Westgate.
Do you have a budding artist or a student who just loves to do arts and crafts? Then Art Club may just be a good fit! Here is some information to know:
How often does this club meet? Monthly (dates TBD)
Where does this club meet? In the Art Room at Westgate Elementary
How do I sign up? There will be a Google Interest Form that you will need to fill out. This will be in the Westgate Post emails at the beginning of the year so be on the lookout!
How much does it cost? There is a one time $25 registration and material fee
Can parents help? YES! There will be a sign up for parent volunteers for each meeting during the year. This is crucial for us to have successful projects and more help with the supplies being used.

THIS YEAR'S THEME: What My Culture Means to Me
"National PTA has a long-standing commitment to arts education. For over 50 years, Reflections has helped students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning. The Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boosts student confidence and success in the arts and in life. Each year, hundreds of thousands of students in pre-K through grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-created theme. Students submit in one or more of the available arts categories and, based on grade and/or support needs, participate in one of the program divisions."
