Volunteer Opportunities

  • Western Steam Fiends Food Booth:

Assist the club by volunteering your time to help in the WSFA food booth. This is our largest fundraiser of the year! You can find us during the Great Oregon Steam-up and the Truck Show.

  • Altman Taylor Kit:

Help restore the Altman Taylor Kit recently donated to WSFA by the Mount Rainer Scenic Railroad. Help keep history alive!

  • Wood Cutting:

Unlike todays machinery, all our engines run on wood and water. Without our wood supply, we do not have enough fuel to run our engines. Help us fill our wood boxes for show!

  • Maintenance of Engines:

Our engines need to be cared for. General maintenance of engines is always a need from the start of show season to the end.

  • Great Oregon Steam-up:

Many opportunities to help at Steam-up. Run an engine, help out in the sawmill, sell raffle tickets, assist in the shack, help out in the food booth. There is something for everyone!

  • Tulip Festival:

Help run an engine at the Woodburn Tulip Festival! Educate the public while enjoying the sites of beautiful Oregon.

  • Agricultural Festivals:

Volunteer your time to attend various agricultural festivals around Oregon. Educate the public on what these engines were used for before gas powered equipment came along.

  • Ground Maintenance

Help maintain Powerland's grounds. APMA holds volunteer days throughout the year to make the grounds suitable for show.
