While there are no campgrounds open at this time in Harriman SP, there are shelters in which you can stay with no reservations, although they offer few amenities. Map: https://parks.ny.gov/documents/parks/HarrimanTrailMap.pdf.
~45 minutes away is Wawayanda SP in NJ, which has campsites one can reserve: https://www.njportal.com/DEP/NJOutdoors/Park/Details?locationId=18.
