Seeing as there is no Dear Reader Letter to accompany this formal assignment, the highlights of the document will be shared here. For this formal assignment the work was split up into two major parts. The first being a research journal which includes a compilation of journals and discussions completed in class revolving around the original research question. To elaborate, the question my work centered around was the mystery behind the record high and rising gas prices. To solve this question, I went to a series of databases to find background information, the major stakeholders in the industry, and the interdisciplinary discipline that could play cause and effect with the topic. Using this gathered information that was then reviewed by my peers, I then proceeded to write a reflection on my journey as a researcher and what that journey taught me. If reding it is not clear enough, the main take away for me is that as a researcher the biggest lie that is told is the illusion of separation. I was able to discover that in the end everything is connected like a delicately woven basket. The stakeholders and disciplines work in conjunction with one another to provide the backbone for the background information of the high gas prices. They all combine to source the root cause in the principles of economics and government intervention.
