GOVERNMENT OF WENFORD
IDEOLOGY AND SYSTEM OF WENFORD
Wenford's ideology is not exactly entirely straight forward, for it takes aspects of many different beliefs and groups to create its own, unique way of governance and life. It takes influence from moderate leftist aspects, such as an advocation of sharing mutual leftover raw and manufactured resources and free housing, but also advocates for a strong control of the monarch in the federal government. But, the federal government isn't to serve as the main governing body of the state, as local ruralism bodies are encouraged, along with other miscellaneous ideological aspects from agrarianism, communalism, populism, and republicanism. Because of the sheer uniqueness of this ideology, Wenford may seem intimidating to those who are not associated with it, for its governing system may appear to be rather complex. But this isn't the case; In the most simple terms possible, it's just a conglomerate of a large number of different ideologies put into one state's government.
LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
The local governments of Wenford are classified as any territory, duchy, county, canton, or other form of land that is not directly governed by the King. These local governments - typically ruled by a duke, count, etc - are allowed to govern themselves as they please as long as it is not an oligarchy, aristocracy, or an autocracy (without explicit permission.) This does not mean that the rulers (duke, count, etc) of each swathe of land will be stripped of any power that's not ceremonial, but it does mean that they need to allow some form of fairness regarding law making, judicial rulers, and much more. This allows the duchy and county owners to have their own level of autonomy, but also mandates that they give their civilians a change in government - checks and balances, if you will.
