WEA and NEA are separate entities from our PACs.
As part of the largest democratically run organization in the country, NEA members have a unique ability to guide the beliefs of the entire organization.
Members develop policy and belief statements, as well as resolutions that guide the work of the organization and dictate the issues that representatives of organization speak or act upon.
Policy decisions are based upon a majority vote of the approximately 1,000 WEA member delegates at the annual state Representative Assembly (WEA-RA) and the approximately 9,000 NEA member delegates at the National Representative Assembly (NEA-RA).
