About Wellness Wayfinder
Project Wellness Wayfinder is a pending 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing accessible health screenings and education to the Glen Allen and Henrico communities, empowering individuals to take control of their well-being.
Project Wellness Wayfinder (PWW) is made by students and initiated by informed doctors and student volunteers!
We're changing that. One community fair at a time.
In collaboration with physicians, Wellness Wayfinder student volunteers will conduct screening tests with practice and preparation. The tests would target common diseases with biomarkers, such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and vision screening.
Patient resources will consist of copies of evaluation sheets, physician approved reccomendations for future steps into a healthy life, and lists of other wellness opportunities that would be beneficial for all.
Our health fairs aim to include booths from various organizations, such as other nonprofits, physicians, and pharmacists, to give you a sense of what wellness is and provide information sessions, such as learning CPR! Additionally, many booths will have safe over-the-counter samples of meds and wellness items as needed.
