A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF THE BODY
I’m Jess, a certifed massage therapist with more than two decades of experience in therapeutic and integrative bodywork. Since beginning my career in 2005, I’ve dedicated myself to helping people feel more comfortable, connected, and at ease in their bodies. Over the years, my work has deepened my understanding that the body does not exist in isolation. Physical tension, movement patterns, stress, rest, and the ways we adapt to our daily lives all influence how we feel and function. This understanding has shaped my approach to massage into one rooted in whole-person care. Rather than seeing a body as a collection of muscles or isolated areas of discomfort, I strive to understand the person behind it, honoring their individual experiences, needs, and the larger patterns that may be contributing to how they feel.
My approach blends therapeutic and restorative massage with careful observation, grounded presence, and deep listening. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to the person in front of me, drawing on years of hands-on experience, mentorship, and a longstanding specialty in prenatal massage. I’ve had the privilege of learning alongside experienced therapists who valued both the science and art of bodywork, shaping my appreciation for the relationship between technical skill and intuitive touch. Clients have often described my work as feeling as though my hands never leave the body, with a continuous flow that unfolds almost like creating a painting. I love that description because it reflects how I experience massage: an artful conversation with the body, guided by rhythm, attentiveness, and a willingness to let each session unfold naturally rather than following a predetermined formula.
At the heart of my practice is a commitment to creating a warm, nurturing space where you feel safe, heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. I believe meaningful bodywork requires more than applying a technique. It requires presence, trust, thoughtful communication, and an understanding that every person arrives with their own experiences and needs. Whether you’re navigating chronic tension, physical discomfort, periods of heightened stress, or simply seeking an opportunity to rest and reconnect with yourself, my intention is to meet you where you are and create space for greater ease and restoration. After more than 20 years, I remain deeply curious about the human body and continue expanding my understanding of movement, recovery, and whole-person care. Above all, my work is rooted in a simple belief: when we care for the body, we are caring for the whole person.
