We are a group of 4 students from Scots College working together on this project to give back to our community. We are united in our mission to support the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, (CAMHS). At 16, we understand the unique pressures our generation faces

Our Mission
We are a student‑led initiative dedicated to transforming the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) rooms at the Hania Street site into a warm, safe, and therapeutic spaces. Our goal is local but powerful: to raise $15,000 and refurbish every room so young people can receive support in an environment that feels calm, dignified, and welcoming.
Why This Matters
The CAMHS rooms are used every day by youth and adolescents who are navigating some of the toughest moments of their lives. The spaces are functional, but they lack the comfort and atmosphere that help young people feel grounded and supported. We believe that surroundings matter, soft lighting, comfortable seating, warm colours, and thoughtful design can make a real difference in how safe and supported someone feels.
By improving these rooms, we’re helping create a space where healing can begin.
What We’re Doing
We’re raising funds and gathering community support to refurbish the CAMHS rooms. Our project focuses on:
Purchasable items for the rooms Through our website, supporters can “sponsor” specific items such as rugs, lamps, chairs, sensory tools, and décor. Every item purchased goes directly into the rooms.
Direct donations, we’re running a GoFundMe and accepting contributions through our website for people who want to support the project financially.
Community partnerships, we’re reaching out to local businesses, organisations, and teams to join us as sponsors. This includes: Ernestos, Kristina Raffaele’s Hairdressing
Our Goal
We aim to raise $15,000 to fully transform the CAMHS rooms. Every dollar goes toward furniture, lighting, sensory equipment, and building design improvements that directly benefit young people.
How You Can Help
There are three simple ways to make an impact:
Sponsor an item: Choose something meaningful to contribute, like a chair, lamp, or rug.
Donate: Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to our goal.
Become a sponsor: Businesses and organisations can partner with us to support youth wellbeing in a tangible, lasting way.
Our Vision
We imagine a CAMHS space where every young person feels safe, respected, and supported the moment they walk thr ough the door. A space that reflects the care they deserve. A space built by the community, for the community.
Together, we can create rooms that help young people feel seen, valued, and hopeful.
Examples of our aim
As you can see, this room is pretty nice by including specialized furniture, carpeting, and even sensory toys for the children to play with. But it can be improved.
Using generative AI lets us see what each room could look like, the cold harsh lighting has been replaced with warmer more welcoming lighting, and it even includes plants that make the room feel less like a hospital, and more like a home.
