The biggest one-day meeting on Wellington's track racing calendar. The Laykold Cup is a 10km bunch race comprising 30 laps of the Hataitai Velodrome with a carnival of supporting events for all ages and abilities.
It remains the most coveted prize in Wellington track cycling.
Previous winners include Olympic bronze medallist Gary Anderson and four-time Commonwealth Games medallist Graeme Miller.
The Poneke Plate for women and Stayers Cup for masters men were introduced in recent years.
