Wellbeing With Lisa
How long is a session?
Your first session will include a full consultation followed by a treatment, so this will take around 90 minutes. Thereafter, a typical reflexology session lasts around 60 minutes, including time to discuss your wellbeing and any areas of focus before we begin.
How many sessions will I need?
Everyone responds differently. Some clients notice benefits after one or two sessions, while others choose regular treatments to maintain their sense of balance and wellbeing.
How often should I have a treatment?
That really depends on your individual goals and how your body responds. Some clients come weekly or fortnightly when working on a specific issue, while others prefer a monthly session to maintain balance and relaxation.
What does it feel like?
Most people find reflexology deeply relaxing. You may feel light pressure or slight tenderness on certain points, which usually eases as the treatment progresses.
Do you use oils or lotions?
Yes, I use a small amount of natural balm to help my hands glide smoothly over your feet. Please let me know if you have any allergies or sensitivities.
Are there any side effects?
Reflexology is gentle and safe for most people. Occasionally, you might feel a little tired or notice subtle changes as your body rebalances — this is a positive sign of your body’s natural response.
What should I wear?
You only need to remove your shoes and socks. Please wear comfortable clothing so you can fully relax.
Is it suitable for everyone?
Reflexology is generally suitable for most people. However, it may not be appropriate in certain circumstances.
Please let me know if you:
Are pregnant (I would not recommend having a treatment if you are less than 12 weeks)
Have diabetes or circulation issues
Have recently had surgery or an injury
Are under medical supervision for a specific condition
In some cases, I may ask for GP consent before proceeding to ensure your safety and wellbeing.
Every treatment includes a health and lifestyle consultation so that reflexology can be tailored appropriately to your individual needs.
Can reflexology help with specific health conditions?
Reflexology is not used to diagnose or cure medical conditions, but it can be a supportive therapy alongside conventional healthcare. Many people find it helps reduce stress and tension, improve sleep, and support their overall sense of wellbeing, which in turn can have a positive effect on the body.
Can I have reflexology if I’m undergoing medical treatment?
In most cases, reflexology can complement medical treatment very well. However, if you’re receiving ongoing medical care (for example, chemotherapy, physiotherapy, or taking certain medications), I may ask for your GP’s or consultant’s consent before proceeding.
Is reflexology safe for children?
Yes, reflexology is safe and gentle for children and teenagers. Treatments are always shorter and adapted to their comfort level. A parent or guardian must be present during all sessions for under 16s.
What is your cancellation policy?
I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows me to offer the space to another client. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a fee.
How do I book?
Send me an email or WhatsApp to book your appointment.
How do I pay?
Payments can be made by cash or bank transfer at the time of your appointment.
Do you offer packages or discounts?
I offer a package for 4 x 60 minute treatments for £160. This is 20% discount for a block booking.
Is there free parking?
Yes, you can park directly outside my front door.
