Meet the McAfees
Hi, I'm Angie (Del Ciello) McAfee! My great grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Italy, and I have wanted to go there my whole life. When Jeremy and I got married 22 years ago, we made it a goal to get there someday. As our son, Jonah, graduated from high school this year, we knew that we were running out of time to make sure that we could experience a trip like this as a family of four. It was finally go time.
We decided that a Rick Steves tour was the best option for us, as we had never traveled abroad and really felt out of our depth. We have said over and over that it was the best travel decision we made! With our two teenagers, we had a trip that truly exceeded all of our expectations. We made fantastic memories, we saw and learned so much, and we shared meals that we continue to reminisce about. Oh, that tirimisu...
Jeremy and I are both high school teachers. He teaches art and I teach biology. We were both excited about experiencing the rural parts of Italy.
Our son, Jonah, was most looking forward to the culinary aspects of the trip.
Our daughter, Mia, is the history lover of the family and could not wait to see the Colosseum and ancient Rome.
