Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a global social movement that was founded in the US in 2013 with the aim of eradicating racism and anti-Black violence, especially when it takes the form of excessive use of force by law enforcement. Black Lives Matter is a movement that condemns the unjust killings of Black people by police (Black people in the US are much more likely to be killed by police than White people) and urges society to treat Black lives and humanity similarly to White lives and humanity.
